CAIXA DE MITOS is a consulting company that focuses its activities on social innovation. It brings together experts, consultants, researchers and leaders in Europe and Portugal on the basis of a flexible agency model for Social Innovation. Its action takes place on two levels: in partnership with local associations, municipalities and local development agencies and a more global level around strategic issues and systems development, innovative solutions and implementation for studies.
His frame of action is very broad geographically and thematically but its expertise is around PARTICIPATION METHODOLOGIES, interventions that facilitate empowerment and engage stakeholders in social approaches to sustainable social change.
Its activities are carried out through methodologies and own techniques such as:
– Projects Workshops; collective working each of the projects on a shared basis and citizenship process;
– Marigold of the participation; actions in organizations that want to develop empowerment strategies with all members;
– SRS – Social Recognition of skills; a validation process with active participation of the local community including professionally;
– Communities of Practice and Triangular Networks structures with self interests organized on the political, technical and directly concerned
– Action research 360º of course listening watch requirements and research methodologies that provide the foundation for Co systematization built ..
Its activity is essential in: design and project management; completion of Study; assessments and project support; Animation of networks and communities of practice; Local actions for developing partnership and community theater circles of innovation.
Individual and collective SKILLS that are mobilized at the action associated with the organizational development, the guidance throughout life to the education and literacy of adults, social and inclusive entrepreneurship and development local levels are continuing research.
Projects and activities in Adult Education and Guidace:
RVCC – Center: the experts of Caixa de Mitos are connected with all the Portuguese experience in RVCC – VAE since 2000 managing and developing the strategies, methodologies and techniques of the 1rst RVCC Center in Portugal.
The Portuguese experience has been exposed by CdM Experts in the Budapest Conference about the UE Commission Action Plan for Adult Education.
CdM experts are connected with the FECBOP – European Federation of Bilan and Orientation Centers and are specialists in training Competence Balance technicians.
In other way in flexibility models about Guidance CdM has been partner of POWER PAC an European Project lead by the CIBC of Nîmes, witch aim was to experiment and built at the same time a model of guidance and counselling in an holistic approach and focused in empowerment process.
In this area of guidance CdM has created a specific model for youth people with the BOJ dynamics.
In Adult Education CdM Works in partnership with INSTITUTO PAULO FREIRE of Porto in drop-out prevention programs.
